HEALTH SERVICES RESEARCH TRAINING
The need to understand and ultimately improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of health care in the United States has never been greater. The Health Services Research Training at the University of Michigan, created a unique synthesis of resources, multidisciplinary training activities, and stakeholder involvement that will prepare both predoctoral and postdoctoral trainees to meet
the urgent challenges in health services research. The program combines clinical and social science perspectives, and leverages connections to key stakeholders such as provider organizations and payers. The program will be an innovative partnership between the Department of Health Management and Policy in the School of Public Health and the Center for Healthcare Outcomes & Policy in the Medical School.
